Blackjack's Rule of Thumb
Blackjack is a famous card game that you can see in almost all casino halls in the world. The main goal of this game is to get near to the card value of 21 and not having more than that value. Once you go over 21, that is called the "bust". The face cards do have a value of ten. Each of the cards with numbers retains its face value. The can have a value of either 1 or 11, depending on the situation of the hand, whether it is already over 21 or not.
The blackjack game do have two kinds of games being played inside a casino. The first kind of blackjack is the two-deck game. The blackjack dealer take hold of the cards and then deals them to the players in a faced down manner. In the multi-deck blackjack game, a card shoe is being employed which makes use of 8 decks and then shuffles them after every game. In this game, the cards are being dealt facing up in front of every player, the players are not allowed to hold the cards and pick them. In both games, a hand is being dealt to the dealer where only one card is faced up during the initial deal, the cards that is faced down is called "hole". The objective of the game is to defeat the hand of the dealer. In some games, the hole will not be drawn unless the players have already played all their cards.
Regardless of the number of players sitting on the table, the hand that is to beat is one that belongs to the dealer of the house. It the player who decides first whether to get a hit meaning get another card, or stand which means the player decides to stay with the hand in every turn. The dealer will then draw more and more cards until a player comes up to the 21 or have a bust. The players who have a bust loses automatically regardless of whether the dealer went bust or not. In this case, the dealer must then draw a card if he is in the 17 and holding an ace, this called the soft hand since the ace can have the value of 11 or 1. The dealer must also draw if he is holding 16 or less than that and must choose to stand on the hard 17 or more without having the ace. If in case the dealer goes bust, the players who did not went over 21 wins the game.
